Pro Career

2005: Started all 16 games, plus the NFC Wild Card Playoff Game…Record was 11-5 in the regular season, plus 0-1 in the postseason…Finished the season with 294 completions on 557 attempts for 3,762 yards with 24 touchdown, 17 interceptions, a long completion of 78 yards and a QB rating of 75.9.

2004: Was the 1st choice of the 2004 NFL Draft, by the San Diego Chargers, the highest an Ole Miss player has ever been picked. Soon after his selection, Manning was traded to the Giants for quarterback Philip Rivers (the No. 4 overall pick), a 3rd-round choice in 2004 and 1st and 5th-round choices in 2005...Played in 9 games, including starts in the last 7 games…Rookie record as a starter was 1-6…Improved markedly down the stretch and finished with 95 completions in 197 attempts for 1,043 yards, 6 touchdowns and 9 interceptions…Started and earned his 1st NFL victory in the season finale vs. Dallas (1/2).
